Joseph Capo-Chici [email protected]
Joseph currently works for the Ministry of Health of Benin where he is the national focal point for rehabilitation and in charge of the development and promotion of physical medicine and rehabilitation.
He has been practicing as a physiotherapist for 20 years, including at the Centre de Dépistage et de Traitement de l'Ulcère de Buruli (CDTUB) in Benin and serving as an association mentor in the implementation of World Physiotherapy's SUDA project in Mali.
He holds a BA in physiotherapy, a BA in psychology of organisations, MSc in environment health and sustainable development, and interuniversity certificate in quality and organisation of health systems.

Usman is a deputy director health planning, research and statistics at Jigawa State Ministry of Health, Northwest, Nigeria.
He holds a BA in physiotherapy and joined the University of Lagos, Nigeria, to complete an MSc in physiotherapy and PhD in musculoskeletal physiotherapy with special interest in chronic pain management. He completed a second master's, in health economics, from the Federal University Dutse in 2024.
Usman is a member of the Nigeria Society of Physiotherapy (NSP) and has held several positions with NSP over more than 10 years of participation in NSP. This includes state chapter chairman in Jigawa State (2010 to 2015), chairman national awards and honors committee (2016 to 2020), national general secretary (2020-2023), national vice president (2023 to date). As NSP general secretary, he took part in World Physiotherapy's leadership programme.

Issac is a physiotherapist with over 16 years of practice, complemented by experience in leadership, governance, and advancing physiotherapy in Uganda. As the outgoing president of the Uganda Association of Physiotherapy, he has spearheaded initiatives to strengthen governance structures, advocate for professional development, and enhance the impact of physiotherapy in healthcare.
With expertise in patient care and team leadership, he is passionate about empowering physiotherapists to reach their full potential through effective governance and leadership strategies. His work remains dedicated to promoting rehabilitation services in Uganda and advancing the physiotherapy profession across East Africa.
