Webinar description

To know what we mean when we talk about digital physiotherapy or digital practice in physiotherapy. To provide an overview of the possibilities and their practical implications. To identify and address differences between face-to-face and digital practice in physiotherapy.

  • Introduction: terminology and historical framework
  • Brief summary of the current evidence
  • Overview of digital tools
  • What are the particularities of this modality of care compared to face-to-face care and how can we solve them in practice? Examples here: communication, preparations, assessment, follow-up, patient safety, triage of candidate patients
  • Resolution of doubts

The World Physiotherapy/INPTRA report (2020) and the recent Delphi for a framework for quality care training in physiotherapy via videoconferencing (Davies, 2021) will be used as a guide.

Participants will be asked to take an initial live survey to identify their preferred options from a number of closed options, in order to make the presentation more focused on those aspects that may be of most interest.
