Following the Europe region general meeting held on 14-15 May 2026 in Pristina, Kosovo, and the Africa region general meeting held on 4 June 2026 in Kigali, Rwanda, the following candidates have been elected to serve on their executive committees.
The following candidates have been elected to serve on the Europe region executive committee with immediate effect:
- Chair: Tim Nemeth (2026-2030), member of AXXON, Physical Therapy in Belgium
- Second vice chair: Michele Cannone (2026-2030), Italian Association of Physiotherapy
- Executive committee member: Adérito Seixas (2026-2030), Order of Physiotherapists, Portugal
- Executive committee member: Fran Theron (2026-2028), Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists
The following candidates have been elected to serve on the Africa region executive committee and will start their four-year terms of office on 1 July 2026:
- Chair: Henry Opondo, Kenya Society of Physiotherapists
- Executive committee member: Ahissan Mathias Krou, Association of Kinesiotherapists of Ivory Coast
An additional election for a casual vacancy for the Africa region is currently underway.
