Axxon, Physical Therapy in Belgium has been a member of World Physiotherapy since 1956 and is part of our Europe region. The national umbrella of Axxon, Physical Therapy in Belgium was formed in 2009 by the merger of the National Physiotherapists Kartel and AKB.

After graduation at entry level, the regional government recognises a professional degree. After this recognition, the federal government issues a visum. If a foreign physiotherapist wants to practice under the nomenclature, they must apply for a recognition of their qualifications at the Ministry of Public Health: https://www.health.belgium.be/en/e-services/visa-foreign-diploma
