The Foundation University College of Physical Therapy (FUCP), Islamabad, Pakistan, celebrated World PT Day 2023 on 8 September.
Approximately 200-250 guests attended, including deans, heads of departments, faculty and administrative officials from Foundation University School of Health Sciences and Fauji Foundation Hospital, as well as house officers and students of FUCP attended the event.
The students' performances, podcasts and documentaries emphasised the role of physiotherapy in the management of arthritis, and other musculoskeletal, neurological and cardiopulmonary conditions.
The School of Allied Health Sciences CMH LMC & IOD marked World PT Day with an event recognising the role of physiotherapists in helping people regain mobility and improve their quality of life.
The programme of activities included presentations, songs, and a 30 second sit to stand challenge. Hafiz Muhammad Asim, of Lahore University of Biological
and Applied Sciences (LUBAS) Lahore, delivered a guest lecture on wheel chair prescription.
