The Physiotherapy Association of South Sudan (PASS) held activities 8-9 September to promote World PT Day 2024. The day was organised in collaboration with the International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC).
Activities held over the two days included:
- a public awareness on the National Radio South Sudan Broadcasting Cooperation (SSBC) on the low back pain, with listeners calling to seeking advice on how they can be helped by physiotherapists
- two presentations were presented, (1) by PT Sephora about Rehabilitation in health care system, and (2) by Dr Anna ICRC surgeon on low back pain
- a blood donation awareness campaign was conducted by the coordinator from South Sudan Red Cross (SSRC)
- numerous speeches were presented with a focus on the importance of physiotherapists in health care system, especially in helping or managing people with various disabilities and health conditions, restoring function and giving hope
