The Surinamese Association for Physiotherapy (SVF) carried out the the following activities to mark World PT Day 2021.
- Approximately two weeks before World PT Day, the Dutch translations of the Long COVID posters from World Physiotherapy were sent to all members as well as non-PT members
- On 7 September a live interview took place in Magazine 4 of ABC television station. The speaker was one of our oldest members and previous president of SVF for many years, Tony Chang, PT, PhD. Fysiotherapeut Tony Chang staat stil bij World Fysiotherapy Day 2021 - ABC Online Nieuws - YouTube
- On World PT Day an article was published in Starnieuws, a well-known news and current affairs website. www.starnieuws.com/index.php/welcome/index/nieuwsitem/66432
Members of SVF were also free to do their own activities, these included:
- ActieFysio Clinique for Physiotherapy, a private practice in the district Wanica, held a physical activity with a group of clients. https://fb.watch/8q73zd6jsp/
- PhysioCare Suriname, a private group practice in Paramaribo, decided to offer rehab for persons with Long COVID. Their second group started in September 2021.
