Purpose:

There were two purposes in this study. The first was to utilize the " Story Drama Approaches of Drama in Education " to simulate potential harassment scenarios encountered during clinical internships, thereby establishing a teaching model for preventing and intervening sexual harassment. The second one was to evaluate the effectiveness of the "story drama module" teaching model in enhancing physical therapy interns' awareness and coping strategies regarding workplace sexual harassment.

Methods:

This study was conducted during the sophomore physical therapy clinical clerkship. The course was divided into two phases. The first phase consisted of on-campus lectures, where sexual equality education experts introduced laws and cases related to sexual harassment to students. Following this, the " Story Drama Approaches of Drama in Education " was implemented in three steps: watching a video, creating a drama, and performing in groups. A drama specialist guided students in crafting their story dramas and analyzing the roles before completing their group performances. The second phase involved clinical internships, during which students observed and interviewed physical therapists regarding issues of workplace sexual harassment. Participating students received questionnaires on workplace sexual harassment before and after the course. The qualitative part included classroom activity study sheets, workplace observation records, and students' self-reflection feedback for analysis.

Results:

A total of 21 students participated in this course. The results showed that students who had not received courses related to sexual harassment had significantly increased their awareness of sexual harassment during the post-test (p ‹0.05). All students also showed an increasing trend in their situational awareness of sexual harassment in the workplace. In the students' reflection and feedback, all students agree that this teaching mode can increase their sensitivity to sexual harassment and empathize with the victim's feelings.

Conclusion(s):

The study concluded that " Story Drama Approaches of Drama in Education " can effectively teach gender equality education and sexual harassment prevention. While students showed essential awareness of sexual harassment, there was a need for ongoing efforts to reinforce these concepts and integrate them into daily practice.The study concluded that " Story Drama Approaches of Drama in Education " can effectively teach gender equality education and sexual harassment prevention. Implications:

The results of this study have important implications for management and education in the physical therapy workplace. The results of this study suggest that "Story Drama Approaches of Drama in Education" into the curriculum may be an effective method of teaching sensitive topics. By raising students' awareness of and coping strategies for sexual harassment in the workplace, we will help create a safer and more respectful work environment.
