Background:
Physiotherapy in Haiti was for many a profession in shadow with few rehabilitation professionals that existed. Following the devastating earthquake that struck Haiti on January 12, 2010, it has trained thousands of people with disabilities who need rehabilitation care. It was at this time the discipline began to have a whole new emergence on the territory.

Purpose:
To explore the advancement that is doing in rehabilitation, with a particular focus on the number of physiotherapists and occupational therapists who have been trained at this periode of time.

Methods: It's a retrospective and prospective study where we analyze data collected from AHE-HAOT, Haitian Association of Occupational Therapy, and Haitian Physiotherapy Society (SoHaPh) in relation to new gratuaded professionals from two universities.
Participants
AHE-HAOT: A total of 20 occupational therapists
8 are working in Haiti
7 are foreigners who come to Haiti every year.
5 are haitians students (2020)
Website WCPT Data/SoHaPh: 56 Haitian physiotherapists
University graduate students (UNIFA-EPHY, n=8 PT)
University graduate students (FRSL, n=10, (7 PT/ n=3 OT))

Results:
The major of studies report there is more Haitian physical therapists in that field, n = 71 PT than Haitian Occupational therapist graduated , n = 4, and the number of professionals readaptation had increased.
Before the earthquake
2010, n = 13 PT
2010, n = 1 OT
After the earthquake
2020, n = 56 PT
2020, n = 56 PT + 15 new haitian graduated PT (71)
2020, n = 3 new haitian graduated OT.

Conclusion(s): In 2014 University of Dr. Aristide Foundation (UNIFA) offer physiotherapy as discipline and 8 students were graduated (https://lenouvelliste.com/article/199927/le-meilleur-de-lunifa-en-une-ceremonie-de-graduation). Also Faculty of Rehabilitation Sciences of Leogane (FSRL) in 2015 integrated Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy, 10 students have been received their diplomas, 7 in physiotherapy and 3 in occupational therapy. ( https://fsrl-uneph.org/ ). Nowadays number of professionals in physical therapist has been increased, and also occupational therapists, although it`s not much, but in the coming years we will have future graduate professionals in rehabilitation.

Implications: This study shows us that at the institutional and educational level, concrete actions have been carried out to increase the number of rehabilitation professionals in territory for the future of the profession in Haiti. However, there is so much to do 10 years after the earthquake of January 12, 2010.
