The ‘how-to’ of national rehabilitation plans: starting, developing, acting, evaluating
Description
The seminar will highlight progress in low and middle income countries towards realizing the Rehabilitation2030 Initiative. It will focus on how to get started, develop, implement, monitor and evaluate a national rehabilitation strategic plan. The presenters, from countries in the Africa, South Asia and Middle Eastern regions, representing government, practitioners, professional associations and international development agencies, will share short summaries of actions undertaken, lessons learnt, and progress made. After each speaker, the participants will be asked to reflect on their own experiences and discuss topical questions to ensure a highly participatory and informative format
Objectives
- To highlight the Rehabilitation 2030 Initiative and the role different stakeholders play to strengthen rehabilitation in low- and middle-income countries
- To describe ‘how-to’ get started, develop, implement, monitor and evaluate a national rehabilitation strategic plan, and to share the challenges, outcomes and lessons learnt
- To identify the practical steps that participants can take to strengthen rehabilitation in their country
