Oppression, marginalisation and stigma (DS-06)

Description

Oppression, marginalisation and stigma are difficult to keep apart. In this session we would like to explore areas in which oppression, marginalization and stigma occur.

The panel will explore examples on oppression, marginalization and stigma related to obesity, disability, race, culture, gender disparities and domestic violence and give the audience the opportunity to share their experiences.

The session will introduce humanitarian principles, raise awareness of problems marginalised groups are facing and reflect on our own biases in this field.
