Background: The clinical gait analysis the measurement, processing and systematic interpretation of biomechanical parameters that characterize human locomotion and ability to identify limitations in motion in order to identify appropriate procedures for rehabilitation. Physical therapists often evaluate gait analysis by observational screening, yet the three-dimensional systems is consider the gold standard for measuring parameters in gait analysis. Sensory Insole Technology is (SIT) comprises a sensory insole and application software that canmeasure step counts, step pace, swing time, and center of pressure (COP) shifting velocity, also facilitate fine-grained gait analysis in both laboratory and real-world environments.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the internal reliability of Sensory Insole Technology in gait assessment. And also to utilized three dimensional analysis of gait pattern.

Methods: This study is quasi-experimental research, a convenience sampling technique was utilized.  Slovin’s formula was used to determine the sixty participant as sample size. The SIT used a s instruments to execute gait analysis. Each participant used electric treadmill to perform leve surface walking for three trails with a minimum of 45 minutes rest interval. The researcher utilized  Standard deviation was used to measure of dispersion.  A Cronbach’s Alpha was used to assess the internal consistency of the tool with the following value of High 0.70- 1.00, Medium 0.50-0.69, Low 0.30-0.49, Poor 0.1-0.29 and Intraclass Correlation Coefficient (ICC)  by Cicchetti & Sparrow for Interrater reliability of measurements or rating. Poor <0.40, Fair 0.40-60, Good 0.60-0.75,Excellent 0.75-1.00  Each participant used  an appropriate SIT and walked  on the treadmill until normal pace was achieved and start recording the measurement of  gait for 1  full minute and done three times with 30 minutes interval .   Three  registered Physical therapy serves as independent raters.

Results: The internal reliability of  SIT in gait parameters : Loading Left (L) foot- 0.89 with high reliability, (R) foot- 0.80 with High reliability, Foot flat (l) foot- 0.96 High reliability , (R) foot-0.94 High reliability, pushing (L) foot- 0.95 High reliability (R) foot 0.93 High reliability and on the swing of (L) foot 0.91, High reliability, (R) foot 0.93 High reliability and an average of 0.913 high reliability. In ICC , loading on the (L) foot 0.79 good reliability,(R ) foot 0.88 Good reliability, Foot flat (L) foot 0.96 Excellent reliability, (R) foot 0.93 Excellent reliability, Pushing (L) foot 0.95, Excellent reliability,  (R) Foot 0.93, Excellent reliability and in swing phase of the (L) foot 0.91 Excellent reliability, (R ) foot 0.93 Excellent reliability with a total average of 0.91 with excellent reliability.

Conclusion(s): The study indicate that SIT has high  internal reliability and excellent interrater reliability.

Implications: The utilization of SIT can be suggested as 3 dimensional tool for gait analysis. Clinician may improve their skills in taking gait observation and interpretations. For academician may  help to demonstrate the gait evaluation and with proper evidence in teaching human gait on physiological and  pathological gait pattern. For students , may able to experience different ways of gait evaluation.
