World Physiotherapy holds elections for regional executive committee members as required in accordance with the constitution. Consistent with the World Physiotherapy constitution, elections for regional executive committee members in three regions will be held via electronic voting.
Nominations are now open for candidates for the following roles in these regions:
- Asia Western Pacific
- vice chair
- executive committee member (two positions)
- North America Caribbean
- chair
- executive committee member (one position)
- South America
- vice chair
- executive committee member (one position)
The term for the successful candidates will start on 1 July 2025 and end on 30 June 2029.

To be considered as a candidate for a World Physiotherapy region executive committee, a nominee must:
- Read and understand the constitution
- Complete the declaration form
- Provide a short curriculum vitae (up to two pages) and candidate statement (up to 1,000 words) suitable for publication and distribution to the World Physiotherapy member organisations in the relevant region
- Provide a recent head and shoulders photograph suitable for publication and distribution to the World Physiotherapy member organisations in the relevant region
- Provide a signed nomination form in support of their candidacy from their own member organisation
All nomination documents must be sent by email by Sunday 6 April 2025 at 17:00 UTC

Consistent with Section 13.1 of the constitution which states:
a Member Organisation is not entitled to vote until it has paid the full annual membership subscription amount due for that year
Nominations can only be accepted from member organisations that have paid their World Physiotherapy membership subscriptions for 2025.
Similarly, voting links will only be sent to member organisations that have paid their World Physiotherapy membership subscriptions for 2025.
