The report (PDF) provides evidence that key stakeholders can use to build strategies to improve the availability of quality, coordinated, affordable, and user-centred rehabilitation. It also includes recommendations for different stakeholders (states, donors and civil society, disabled people’s organisations) that could help strengthen rehabilitation services and improve the health and wellbeing of people around the world.
The report is supported by a series of videos illustrating the impact of rehabilitation.
WCPT President and GRA Vice President Emma Stokes said: ‘The report and videos demonstrate the need for rehabilitation services and the impact of rehabilitation on individual people’s lives. WCPT is proud to be one of the founding members of GRA and contribute to the GRA mission to advocate for the availability of quality, coordinated and affordable rehabilitation through system strengthening according to population needs.’
The UN has set 17 sustainable development goals to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. The goals address global challenges and are interconnected. The UN has set a target to achieve these goals by 2030. Humanity & Inclusion have produced a series of videos focusing on seven of the goals.
