An election for a casual vacancy on the World Physiotherapy South America region executive committee closed on 24 August 2025.
The following candidate has been elected to serve on the South America region executive committee:
- Executive committee member: Gabriel Peña Zúniga, member of Comisión Profesional de Fisioterapia del Colegio de Terapeutas/Physical Therapy Commission of the Therapist Guild of Costa Rica
The elected regional executive committee member will start their four-year term of office on 1 September 2025.
