World Physiotherapy member organisations vote to change structure to a charitable incorporated organisation
Voting delegates from 118 national physiotherapy associations have voted to revise the World Physiotherapy constitution to change the structure of the organisation to a charitable incorporated organisation, registered in the UK.
The vote took place on 31 May 2023, the second day of the 20th General Meeting at the Conrad hotel, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Other business at the general meeting included:
- approval of a policy statement on rehabilitation
- approval of a policy statement on climate change and health
- approval of a motion on language proposed by the Japanese Physical Therapy Association
- confirmation of awards recognising the contribution of individual physiotherapists to the global profession and to World Physiotherapy
- election of president and vice president.
