As every year, 8 September is an opportunity to highlight the skills of physiotherapists around the world.
AXXON, Physical Therapy in Belgium, adopted the theme that World Physiotherapy chose to put in the spotlight in 2022 - osteoarthritis. It is a major cause of disability that affects 520 million people worldwide and about 1 million Belgians.
With exercise being the first-line treatment of this chronic disease, AXXON promoted the role of physiotherapists in this, both to prevent its onset and to relieve its symptoms.
