For World PT Day 2025 the Association of Hungarian Physiotherapists organised a national educational and professional promotion programme across the country.
The event was realised after nearly half a year of organisation. During the summer, physiotherapist colleagues were able to register. Exceeding all initial expectations, nearly 200 colleagues announced almost 300 programmes nationwide. The goal was to promote our profession among the population with movement and educational programmes, and to promote the building of relationships between students and practicing colleagues.
Registration for the general public began at the beginning of August. From then on, we were very actively present in the media - we appeared on national and regional radio and TV channels.
A total of nearly 2,500 members of the public and healthcare professionals participated in the closed and open programmes, with the help of more than 100 students. We thank all colleagues for their participation and activity! Special thanks go to the members of the organizing committee: Andrea Friedrichné Nagy, Zsuzsanna Máhli, Edit Rónyai and Maja Vizsy. In addition to the organizing committee, our general secretary, Luca Schiller-Csányi, who also contributed to the realisation of the event.
The association is set to continue with these programmes, and believe that with continuous and active communication it can improve the perception of the profession, help educate the general public, and thus preserve health. Their motto is: “Empowering healthy movement through expertise!”
