Malaysia: World PT Day 2025

Beaufort Hospital

On 21 September Beaufort Hospital in Sabah celebrated World PT Day 2025. The celebrations were held under the theme “Healthy Ageing: Falls and Frailty.” The event aimed to raise awareness on the vital role of physiotherapy in preventing falls and promoting lifelong wellness, with the following activities taking place.

  • An early morning warm-up and stretching session
  • 10km competitive run
  • 5km fun run
  • Cultural dance performance by the local Beaufort group, Kumpulan Kg. Luagan
  • “Walk of Strength” performance by patients from Physiotherapy Unit, Beaufort Hospital
  • Health talks and free health screenings
  • Blood donation drive
  • Exhibition booths by agencies and NGOs
  • Community vendor stalls

INTI International University

The INTI Physio Club proudly hosted the INTI World Physio Day 14.0 on 26 September at MPH INTI Subang, and 29-30 September at MPH INTI Nilai. The activities held were under this year's theme of “Healthy Ageing”

The three-day event consisted of health screening assessments carried out by their physiotherapy students, along with consultations provided by the lecturers. It was a great gathering of those working and aspiring to work in the field of physiotherapy.

Seven healthy screening stations were set up:

  1. General health - to record participants’ BMI and blood pressure
  2. Balance test
  3. Flexibility test
  4. Endurance test
  5. Strength test
  6. Postural assessment
  7. Consultation station

Sports massages were also offered.
