World Physiotherapy works in collaboration with a range of organisations to deliver on its strategic plan and advance the profession globally. Developing mutually effective and meaningful relationships with key global actors and stakeholders in different settings has demonstrated to create key foundational pillars for success and collaborative advantage. This is important for the profession but more broadly to strengthen the rehabilitation workforce and service delivery, as well as ensuring multiprofessional collaboration. 

In this session, you will gain insights into World Physiotherapy's strategic collaborations with international organisations and their impact on advancing the profession. We will explore opportunities for individual physiotherapists, member organisations, and specialty groups to contribute to and benefit from World Physiotherapy’s global collaborations. Finally, we will examine the critical elements that drive effective collaboration, including communication, goal alignment, and cultural adaptability, with practical examples from World Physiotherapy’s development projects.
