DOES A CERTIFICATE MAKE YOU AN EXPERT?
In this session panelists and participants will explore the concept of expertise in physiotherapy practice around the world. Discussion will promote active engagement and thought-provoking conversation about how we achieve expertise and what expertise means for our profession. Participants will be challenged to consider how/should we represent ourselves as experts. The session seeks to provoke and challenge us to consider how our attitudes and actions related to expertise and how it impacts care. The panel will be comprised of people who will provide varied perspectives and experiences to prompt intellectual discussion.

- Discuss perspectives on expertise around the world
- Explore the various opportunities available to achieve expertise
- Discuss how professional associations, universities and other organisations can promote options for developing expertise
