The Chinese Physical Therapy Association became a member organisation in 2025. The association is part of the World Physiotherapy Asia Western Pacific region.

The Chinese Physical Therapy Association (CPTA) is the operating name of the Chinese Rehabilitation Medicine Association (CARM) Physical Therapy Committee. CPTA is a fully autonomous organisation and not under the direction of CARM.
