To mark its 45th anniversary, the Jordanian Physiotherapy Society (JPTS) held its 2024 ordinary general assembly meeting in a festive and inspiring atmosphere that reflected decades of professional dedication and achievement.
The event was attended by 97 JPTS members, along with distinguished experts and officials. Proceedings began with the Jordanian national anthem, followed by a keynote address from Alia Alghwiri, JPTS president, who highlighted the importance of professional unity and collaboration in driving the advancement of the physiotherapy profession at both national and international levels.

Alia reaffirmed JPTS’s commitment to promoting the status of physiotherapy within Jordanian society, supporting practitioners, and developing professional competencies in alignment with international standards. She emphasised JPTS’s ongoing efforts in training programmes, strategic partnerships with government bodies, and public awareness initiatives that underscore the vital role of physiotherapy in disease prevention and quality of life improvement.
Members attending the event expressed their gratitude for JPTS’s efforts in elevating the profession and supporting physiotherapists throughout their careers.
