Pauline Kleinitz, from Australia, chaired a congress seminar on the first day of congress on ‘how-to’ of national rehabilitation plans: starting, developing, acting and evaluating.
The seminar highlighted progress in low and middle income countries towards realising the Rehabilitation2030 initiative. It focused on how to get started, develop, implement, monitor and evaluate a national rehabilitation strategic plan.
The presenters represented government, practitioners, professional associations and international development agencies.
Remla Shirima, from Tanzania, Subhash Sinha, from Rwanda, Ali Rjoub, from Jordan, Smriti Suwal, from Nepal, and Graziella Lippolis, from Belgium, shared short summaries of actions undertaken, lessons learnt, and progress made.
