Voting delegates from 96 member organisations attended an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) yesterday, 17 June 2026.
The meeting was held online. The presiding officer was Gill Rawlinson.
Two motions were put forward by the executive board (board) to adopt the final constitution for the charitable incorporated organisation (CIO) named World Physiotherapy and a second motion to transfer business, assets, and liabilities of WCPT to the CIO, and wind up and close WCPT.
Both motions were carried with an overwhelming majority.
This concluded a process that started at the general meeting in 2023 when the member organisations adopted a motion to convert WCPT to a CIO.
The World Physiotherapy executive board thanks all member organisations that made the effort to participate in this important governance meeting.
