How to submit a CPD course for recognition
1. Check World Physiotherapy’s Guidelines for applicants
2. Download the World Physiotherapy CPD event recognition application form
3. Register your organisation on the CEU Locker website
4. Submit the completed CPD event recognition application form, and the non-refundable application fee, at least 10 weeks before your course is due to start on your organisation’s CEU Locker account. When a course is approved, your organisation will be given an approval number and digital seal for the course. The course approval number is valid for the initial presentation and for any subsequent presentations of the same course (same material, same presenters, same objectives, etc.) for a period of 24 months following the initial presentation.
5. The completed CPD event recognition application form must include:
- Course description
- Course objectives
- Time schedule and programme content for each segment
- Instructor(s) names, credentials, biography
- Course evaluation form
- Course fees
- List of references
6. Contact hours are determined based on the number of instructional hours. Time spent on registration, meals or breaks will not be counted when determining hours. The number of CEUs approved may not equal the number requested by the applicant. Unstructured reading time in preparation for online courses will not be included in the total approved contact hours.
7. CPD event should include a CPD event evaluation tool that is completed by participants that evaluate both the course and the instructors.
8. When the course is approved, the course provider must issue their own certificates. The certificates should be completed by the course provider and include:
- Number of contact hours/CEUs awarded
- Participant's name
- Title of course
- Signature of instructor or course provider
- Date of course completion
World Physiotherapy reserves the right to audit any course and will notify the course provider if they have been chosen for an audit. The audit may include onsite attendance of the course.
