This year over 150 sites around Ireland took part in what was the Society’s biggest World Physiotherapy Day celebration ever! The Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists (ISCP) produced leaflets and posters nationwide to where members were holding information stands and events on the day.
As part of World Physiotherapy Day, the Society conducted a public survey on the impact of chronic/persistent pain the public’s perception. "1 in 7 people are living with pain for more than 10 years" is just one of the findings from the survey. Following on from this the day was hugely successful in promoting the role of physiotherapy in the media resulting in national and local print and broadcast coverage. The campaign was also very successful on social media with high engagement online.
