Asia Western Pacific region has physiotherapy associations from 31 countries/territories
澳門物理治療師公會/Macau Physical Therapists Association has been a member of World Physiotherapy since 2011 and is part of our Asia Western Pacific region.
The association was formally established in 2000, although the the roots of the physiotherapy profession in Macau date back to the 1980s.
The Macau Physical Therapists Association, or its national special interest groups, are members of the following specialty groups recognised by World Physiotherapy:

There are no entry level education programmes in Macau

Since the 1st of October in 2021, physical therapy graduates have to take the written exam which conducted by the local government in order to apply for the internship that is required for full qualifications. The written exam is aimed to happen once a year, and the internship last for 6 months. (https://www.ssm.gov.mo/portal/) Please notice that the website is only in Chinese or Portuguese.

Time (eg. medical referral required if treatment is needed beyond 30 or 60 days)
Training (eg. certification, academic training, or CPD to demonstrate skill necessary to treat patients without referral from a medial doctor)
