Physiotherapists are included in the Allied Health Profession Act 774, 14 February 2016 and need to be registered with the Malaysian Allied Health Professions Council: http://alliedhealthmoh.gov.my/mahpc/faq/#. The AHP ACT is estimated to be in force in 2021 with the Physiotherapist in the country registering to the database in 2021. Once this is done all therapist will be given an Annual Practicing Certificate and only allowed to practice PT with this Cert. The Ministry of Health will have by then a full database of all therapist in the country and legislation may start in earnest for the profession.
