Physiotherapy is regulated by the Act on the Profession of Physiotherapy: https://kif.info.pl/act-profession-physiotherapy. To practice in Poland, a physiotherapist must be a member of the Polish Chamber of Physiotherapists: https://pomoc.kif.info.pl/rejestr-praktyk-zawodowych-fizjoterapeutow-jak-dokonac-wpisu/. Licence to practice required.

*Direct access means a person can refer themselves to a physiotherapist without referral from another health professional

Since 2019 PTs are permitted to decide about the type, frequency, length of the service provided. The mandatory consultations made by PTs have been implemented. Nevertheless, in public system doctor referral is required but without the description of therapy. In private service, direct access is available with no limits.
