World Physiotherapy holds elections for board members as required in accordance with the constitution. Member organisations agreed at the general meeting in May 2019 to stagger the terms of board members.
As a result, World Physiotherapy member organisations will now elect three board members from the following regions:
- Europe
- North America Caribbean
- South America
The new board members will begin their terms on 1 July 2025 and end on 30 June 2029.
The candidates for election as regional board members are listed below.
World Physiotherapy member organisations in the relevant region are eligible to vote.

- Marloes Meurs, member of Koninklijk Nederlands Genootschap voor Fysiotherapie (KNGF)/Royal Dutch Society for Physiotherapy
- Nirit Rotem, member of Israeli Association of Physiotherapy
- Srikesavan Sabapathy, member of Chartered Society of Physiotherapy
- Constance Schlegl, member of Physio Austria/Austrian Physiotherapy Association
World Physiotherapy North America Caribbean region
- Sibyl Edward, member of Physiotherapy Association of Saint Lucia
- Savionne Francis, member of Jamaica Physiotherapy Association
- Roger Herr, member of American Physical Therapy Association
World Physiotherapy South America region
- Karim Martina Alvis Gomez, member of Asociación Colombiana de Fisioterapia/Colombian Association of Physiotherapy
- Norma Elisa Gálvez Olvera, member of AMEFI Colegio Nacional de Fisioterapia/Mexican Association of Physiotherapy
- Oscar Ronzio, member of Asociación Argentina de Kinesiologia/Argentine Kinesiology Association
Voting will begin on Friday 30 May 2025 and close on Monday 30 June 2025. The results will be announced via email to all member organisations within each region within 10 days of the vote closing.
