The Philippine Physical Therapy Association (PPTA) has been a member of World Physiotherapy since 1970 and is part of our Asia Western Pacific region. PPTA was established in 1964 by graduates of the first physiotherapy bachelor’s degree in the Philippines.

However, for education of physical therapist, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports are responsible for. By law, a Council for Physical Therapy should have been established for overseeing and licensing of physical therapy practice in Cambodian. Unfortunately, the council has not been created.
