World Physiotherapy announces outcome of elections in three regions
Elections for executive committee members in three World Physiotherapy regions closed on 22 June 2025.
The following candidates have been elected to serve on the relevant regional executive committees:
Asia Western Pacific region
Vice chair: Nehal Shah, member of Indian Association of Physiotherapists
Executive committee member: Holly Brasher, member of Australian Physiotherapy Association
Executive committee member: Nicolas Setiabudi, member of Ikatan Fisioterapi Indonesia/Indonesian Physiotherapy Association
North America Caribbean region
Chair: Jenny Audette (American Physical Therapy Association)
Executive committee member: Se-Sergio Baldew (Surinaamse Vereniging voor Fysiotherapie /Surinamese Association for Physiotherapy)
South America
Vice chair: Maria del Rocio de la Rosa, member of AMEFI Colegio Nacional de Fisioterapia/Mexican Association of Physiotherapy
Executive committee member: Maria José Paredes Garces, member of Sociedad Ecuatoriana de Fisioterapia/Ecuadorian Society of Physiotherapy
The elected regional executive committee members will start their four-year terms of office on 1 July 2025.
